To Flow The Power And Grace Of GOD
1. We have body, soul, and spirit.
•
1 Thessalonians 5:23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through, May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
•
The functions of body, soul ,spirit:
With our body we own awareness/understand about the world outside our body.
With our soul we own awareness/understand about ourselves.
With our spirit we own awareness/ understand about God.
2. What are the areas, the Holy Spirit will help us in?
•
Spirit own the greatest potentials
Our body own potentials, soul own potentials, but spirit own the greatest potentials.
Moses, Joshua, and the soldiers.
The soldiers that were striving physically/ body own potentials to win.
Joshua that was striving with strategy had the greater potential to win.
Moses that was striving with prayers/ the spirit has the greatest potential to win.
Someone who works.
The workers who carry stones/rice/ etc that only work with physical efforts, get income.
The leader that works with mind efforts or soul efforts, get greater income than the workers that carry stones /rice etc.
We are the children of God must work with body, soul and spirit/prayers. Thus we will earn far more maximum income
3. To flow the power of God.
•
Adam own spirit, soul, and body that all of that healthy so that his life full of power and grace of God.
•
After fallen into sin, the function of his spirit was dead therefore his life was full of weaknesses and poverty. (Gen 2:16-17)
•
When we received Jesus Christ thus Holy Spirit came and dwelt in side us. (I Corinth 6:19)
Since then the function of our spirit is being enlivened again.
•
The power and grace of Holy Spirit can flow into our life (John 7: 38-39).
The vision that was given to Ezekiel about the water that was flowing out from the temple of God (Ezekiel 47:1-12)
•
We must synchronize our heart, mind, word, actions in God.
It means that if we want the power of God flowing through ourselves when we pray for someone else or being prayed by someone else, thus:
Our heart must believe according to the word of god.
Our mind must think / meditate according to the word of God.
Our mouth must speak according to the word of God.
Our actions must be according to the word of God.
For Examples:
If the word of God says; we are already forgiven and saved, thus we must believe, think, speak, and act similarly with the word of God.
If the word of God says; we are healed, blessed, restored, protected, thus we must believe think, speak, act the same way according to the word of God.
If the word of God says we can be able, strong, win, thus we must believe, think, speak, act the same way according to the word of God!!!
•
Thus the power and grace of God will be overflowing into our life.
God can do miracles without us doing something, but if we want to synchronize our hearts and mind, words, actions, thus automatically the power of God through inside us and great miracles will happen.
•
Let us change the mind, words, actions that are not similarly to God.
3. Keep continuing to work with Holy Spirit.
•
To be able to bring down/ create something we often must do it again and again until becoming reality.
For examples:
Even God create the earth required 6 days (6000 years of mankind)
Moses must lift up his rod continuously until dawn.
Elijah must pray continuously to bring the rain down.
The wall of Jericho must be routed so many times.
•
Let us continue performing until something that we are striving for can be really complete/becoming a reality.
Let us flow the power and grace of God so that our life will be overflowed with abundant power and grace of God.

Being Filled With The Holy Spirit Brings The Power of God
Today we will learn that the filling of the Holy Spirit will bring the power of GOD in our life.
1. Being filled with the Holy Spirit happens in strange ways
• Acts 2:2-4 . 2Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tonguesA as the Spirit enabled them. • In the 10-day Crusade of the Pouring out of the Holy Spirit, strange manifestations happened, such as
- some cried,
- some laughed,
- some fell down,
- some jumped,
- some trembled,
- some danced,
- some shouted,
- others spoke in tongue.
• Actually GOD has plan for each of the happenings (Acts 2:5-11) Testimony
2. Being filled with the Holy Spirit brings the Power of GOD
- Peter healed the lame (Acts 3:1-7-31One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer--at three in the afternoon. 2Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. 3When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. 4Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, "Look at us!" 5So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. 6Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." 7Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong. )
- Peter’s shadow could heal (Acts 5:12-16- 12The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon's Colonnade. 13No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. 14Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. 15As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by)
- Paul’s handkerchief could heal sick people, (Acts 19: 11-12 11God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, 12so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them
| • | Jesus said in Acts 1: 8 , . 8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." |
| • | The Power to experience the change in life ( Acts 2:12-14 - 12Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, "What does this mean?" 13Some, however, made fun of them and said, "They have had too much wine.B" 14Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: "Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. ) |
| • | The Power in ministry The apostles performed many miracles |
3. This Power and Miracle, has been given and it is for whoever believes.
- Stephen who were not one of the apostles, also performed signs and wonders (Acts 6:815In 8Now Stephen, a man full of God's grace and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people)
- Philip who was also not one of the apostles, also performed many signs and wonders, Acts 8:6-7 6When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said. 7With shrieks, evilB spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed. 8)
| • | The Filling out of the Holy Spirit was given in Acts 2. |
| • | They were 120 people, being filled with the Holy Spirit and they received the power of GOD (Acts 1:15- those days Peter stood up among the believersC (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) |
| • | Signs and wonders/ miracles are given to every one who believes in GOD ( Mark 16:17-18 - 17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." ) |
4. We have to dare to believe and do it
| • | The Word of GOD is certain in its truth and will surely be fulfilled |
| • | We have to dare to believe and to act so we can walk in the power and miracle of GOD |
Let’s truly dare to believe and do it so we will truly walk in the power and miracle of GOD
Revived From Paralysis
We will learn about a crippled man who suffered a lot and powerless, but in the end, he was revived and joyful because of Lord Jesus’ power and miracle.
1. Being filled with the Holy Spirit happens in strange ways
• The condition of this crippled man describes the condition of many people.
- Everyday come the Temple of God, but keep suffering.
- Everyday he was brought to the Temple of God but his life remained weak, poor, suffered, paraplegic, and powerless so that he became a beggar (verse 2a).
- At the moment many people also attend the Church but their lives do not change / problems never end / live in suffering etc.
• Because of having the wrong concept.
- They brought the crippled man just near the gate, not into the Temple of God (verse 2b).
- If we become Christians only until the gate means we do not enter deeper, then we will not experience deep things in Jesus.
- We must not only just become a member / already to church, but involve deeper by joining cell group / SGS / Ministry etc. Then we will experience deeper things in Christ.
- To ask for money/coins (verse 2c).
- This man was only hoping to receive small amount of money, so for years he only received small amount of money.
- Do not rely on fate and lose hope, but have faith that God have a great purpose for each of us, His children.
- Hoping only to human.
- Because his effort was only to receive small amount of money from other people, so he only receive small amount of money from other people.
2. The actions of Peter to help this crippled man.
- From hope to human become hope to God so that he able to find God and His power
| • | Divert his hope to Christ (verse 4-6). |
| • | Encourage and assist the crippled man to act with faith so that God’s power and miracle happened (verse 7b). |
| • | Likewise in our lives, if we dare to act with faith or we build and encourage other people to act with faith, then miracles will happen. Testimonies. |
3. The effects when the Lord’s power and miracle are being revealed.
| • | People who experienced the touch of God will become very dynamic to glorify God (verse 8) |
| • | People who watch and listen will become amazed (verse 9 and 10) |
| • | At the end, many people will believe and accept Jesus as God and saviour. |
| • | Let us do what Lord Jesus and the apostles have been doing, that is wherever they serve, they always cast out the devil, heal the sick. |
Let us be revived from paralysis and revive other people from paralysis with the power of God!!!
To Have Faith In The Word Of GOD
We believe God want to do great miracles in midst of us!!! Thus these weeks we will learn about how we can really experience signs and great wonders from God so that many souls can be saved!!! First lesson is “To have faith in the word of God”
1. What and how is the word of God?
• The word of God is God’s command/ God’s word/His own word.
- Verse 1 In the beginning is the Word; and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- Hence, The Word is the word from our omnipotent God
• All things were made by the Word of God.
- Verse 3 all things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made
• In the Word there is life and light that remove darkness.
- Verse 4-5 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
- Hence. The Word defeat or remove every power of darkness in God. Example.
• Only through the Word we can understand all things about God.
- Who God is
- What things God do want from us
- What things He desire and were commanded by God
- What things He promises
- Hence, we only understand and know God through His own word of God.
• The Word of God is The guidance from the Lord for the whole of our life.
- Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105).
- Hence, only through the Word we can understand the guidance of the lord for the whole of our life. Example.
2. How is our attitude toward the Word of God?
- Hence, if we read/ listen to the Word of God, receive that seriously as God’s word, not only just knowledge
- The more we meditate the Word of God thus we will be more;
- Our mind and our heart being filled by the Word.
- Our mouth being filled by the Word
- To be like Jesus
- To be filled with anointing
- Until the Word of God really become rhyme in our life!!! (John 15:7)
- Hebrew 11:1 Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen.
- James 2:17 thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
- Examples: Noah, Moses, Elijah, Elisha ,and Peter etc
| • | Receive the Word of God seriously as God’s word for us. (1 Tess 2:13) |
| • | To meditate the Word of God day and night (Joshua 1:18; Psalm1:1-3; Deut 6:6-9) |
| • | To do the Word of God with faith. |
Let us have faith in the Word of God, so that we can really experience great miracles in our life.
To Work with the Holy Spirit
1. When JESUS ascended to heaven, HE sent the Holy Spirit to come to us.
• V7. 7But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. • Even the Holy Spirit dwell in us as Counselor (John 14:16-18- . 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will beC in you. 18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. )
2. What are the areas, the Holy Spirit will help us in?
| • | To give us comfort when we are down/distress. |
| • | To make us realize of our sins, the truth and judgment (v8-11) |
| • | To reveal to us things in the future (v13b) |
| • | To reveal to us what was received from Lord JESUS (v14-15) |
| • | To be with us forever (v16) |
| • | To dwell in us (v17-18) |
| • | To give the power to live in victory, so we can be witness (Acts1:8-. 8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”) |
| • | Power to experience personal breakthrough |
| • | Power to do miracle |
| • | Power to save souls |
3. How we can work together with the Holy Spirit?
- Because Holy Spirit lives in us (John 14:17- 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will beC in you. )
- Paul reminded us
- Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit ( 1 Cor 6:19- . 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; )
- Let’s not grieve the Holy Spirit ( Ephesians 4 : 30 - 30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption)
- So we will have the fellowship with the Holy Spirit ( 2 Cor 13:14 - 14May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.)
- Because the Holy Spirit is one of the personalities of GOD, He has the feeling of wanting to be accepted well.
- During our worship ( John 4: 23-24 - . 23Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." )
- When we learn the Word of GOD
- When we are praying (Ephesians 6:18 - 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. )
- When we are serving/ ministering (Acts 16:6 - 6Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia.)
- When we are facing problem ( Mark 13:11 - 11Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit. )
- When we are weak (Rom 8:26- 26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express)
- When we have to decide on a choice
- The Holy Spirit has a very gentle heart
- When we obey the Holy Spirit then the Holy Spirit will work even more.
| • | We have to welcome the Holy Spirit intimately at all time |
| • | We have to involve the Holy Spirit in all aspects of our life. |
| • | We have to obey Him in all things |
Let’s learn to work with the Holy Spirit to do great things for the Lord !

Learn From The Success of Mark
•
He was the son of a widow named Mary in Jerusalem
•
He had two names, the first was Mark and the second was John.
•
He once backslidden in his ministry (Acts 13:13)
•
Mark was very successful in his life
His ministry was acknowledged by Paul (2 Tim 4 :11)
Even though he did not become Lord JESUS’ disciple directly, he was able to become the writer of the Gospel of Mark.
It is believed according to traditional records, Mark established several churches in Alexandria 2. One of the reasons is because his home was used for Cell Group (v 12c)
•
Mark was successful, not because he was the son of a rich man, nor because he had an extraordinary faith, nor because he had a brilliant brain, etc
•
One of the keys of Mark’s success in the story was because his mother used their home for cell group. By having cell group in their home, then :
There was praise and worship which invited the presence of the LORD
When the presence of the GOD is there, then there will also be the power of the GOD, the miracle of GOD, the blessing of GOD (1 Chronicles 13:13-14) and the power of darkness will disappear.
There was the WORD of GOD that led their life
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path
So the whole family was guided by the Word of GOD
here was an effective discipleship
So their spiritual life grew more rapidly
If we only attend service in the House of the Lord, it will be difficult to receive effective discipleship due to the very large number of people.
here was better association ( 1 Cor 15:33)
The whole family would have a better environment
There were answered prayers by GOD (Mat 7:7)
In a cell group there was always intercessory prayer, so many prayers were lifted up and many prayers were answered by GOD.
That is why in a cell group there are many prayers being answered
There was a new family in the LORD
If a believer only worship in the church building then often he/she will feel as a stranger and has no friend in the church, because in a Sunday Service there are many people who attended and after the service finishes everybody goes home and there is no time to get to know one another better.
In a cell group the number of people is not many and there is sharing and questions and answers so it we can know one another and be more familiar.
Believers who join a cell group will have friends /new family which are very important in our life.
There was advises and encouragements when we are weak
Mark once backslidden from his ministry, but when he went home, he listened again to praise and worship, testimonies, Word of GOD, and prayers so his faith could be built and restored again.
That was what made Mark arose again to serve again, and finally he experienced the great success in his life.
These 7 things really helped Mark so he kept on growing in his success.3. Open a cell group
•
Open a cell group in your home, your school, your work place, just like Mary the mother of Mark so in your home, your school, your work place, there are prayers, praise and worship, Word of GOD, effective discipleship, good association, advises and encouragement when we are weak so you will bring great blessing for everybody in our place.
•
Join and support if somebody is opening a cell group in your home, your school, your work place so you will grow to success just like Mark
Let’s arise in cell group because cell group will bring great blessing for us and our whole family.
