Amazing Growth

1. GOD describes the way GOD leads us, is similar to the mother of an eagle teaches its baby.(Deuteronomy 32:11, Exodus 19:4, Isaiah 40:31)
•
Because there are amazing things in the life of an eagle.
•
26 times in the Bible, an eagle is written and used as an example or illustration.
•
In the world, many nations also use it as their national emblem / trademark, etc
•
These few weeks we are going to study from the life of an eagle so we can understand GOD’s will in our life. 2. GOD wants each one of us to experience a very rapid growth.
•
A baby eagle experiences a very amazing growth.
When it is hatched, it weighs about 300 grams
After 2 weeks it weight about 2 pounds/ 1 kg
After that every day the weight increases 400 grams
By the age of 4 weeks this young eagle may require 2 pounds/ 1kg meal each time
By the age of 11 weeks this young eagle can start to fly
•
Every parent’s desires their children can grow well.
•
GOD wants us His children to grow, even experiencing extra ordinary growth (Col 4:12, Mark 4:31-32) Our faith is illustrated as the mustard seed that can grow to be in large size.
Example :
JESUS’ disciples > They were only became disciples for three and a half years
The early church grew very fast in quantity and quality
The healthy Christian > will experience rapid growth

If we are not growing then we will not be able to receive the great grace and be useful for the Kingdom of GOD ( Hebrew 5 : 22-14) 3. How we can experience the amazing growth?
•
Eat more, even nutritious food
1.
People who eat more nutritious food will be easier to grow than those people who eat little.
Example:
A baby eagle.
Ethiopian children who are under starvation
Whether we are fat or skinny is very much determined by our food.
2.
If we listen, study, and meditate more of the Word of GOD day and night then our knowledge of the Word and our spiritual life will keep on growing.
Example: Every day the early church they were persistent in the teaching of the apostles so their spiritual growth was very rapid.
3.
The devils always try so we only pray, listen to the Word of GOD and serve less so we will be like a dwarf and not growing in the LORD, example like a dwarf.

To Learn doing the Word of GOD.
1.
A person who is doing the Word of GOD will experience the truth of the Word of GOD.
2.
A person who experiences the truth of the Word will grow in their understanding of GOD.
Example:
Job (Job 42:5)
Jesus’ disciples > theory and practice
•
Serving GOD and the work of GOD
1.
A person who serves will learn more and struggle more.
Example : Take the step to be Cell Group Leader
2.
A person who serves, then God will add wisdom in the ministry. Example: Mark, Obaja – disciples, family of pastor Obaja.
3.
4 D (4T – in English) Programs in our church that is to record, to meditate, to do, and to testify will bring fast spiritual growth.

To throw away/ cast away all burden and sins 15 October 2006
1.
If there are burdens and sins, then the growth will be very much hindered (Hebrew 12:1)
Example : Bitterness, hurt, bondage, etc
2.

To have a guided life journey 15 October 2006
1.
If we do not have a guided life journey, then we will not experience progress in our life. However if we have a guided life journey, we will experience progress one after the other in our life.
Example :
The river water flow that illustrates the journey of our lifeDon’t be trapped in the swamp
Don’t be trapped in the center of water current.
Don’t be trapped in the misleading water flow.
Keep on flowing towards the ocean wide.
2. Spiritual Journey of Member of Keluarga Allah
To be saved – to be gathered- to be discipled – to be sent – to receive reward and crown in heaven

To move in the guidance of GOD
1.
Without the Holy Spirit we are very weak.
Example : Lord JESUS ‘ disciples before they were filled by the Holy Spirit, their spiritual life were not growing well .
2.
However together with the Holy Spirit we will be very strong.
Example : Lord JESUS ‘ disciples after they were filled by the Holy Spirit, their spiritual life were growing amazingly.
Let’s learn like the eagle that has an amazing growth in the LORD!
