We need to have Holy Spirit

After Lord Jesus ascended to heaven, thus He sent the Holy Spirit to become our helper. And today we will learn together about why that Holy Spirit is very important for us so that we have these crusades and the Holy Spirit anointing for ten days.
1. Jesus Himself required the power of Holy Spirit in His life and ministry while He was serving in this world.

From the birth of Jesus Christ, That was the Holy Spirit who was performing. (Luke 1:35)
And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, That Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

When Lord Jesus was being baptized, thus the Holy Spirit came upon Him (Luke 3:21-22).
21 When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. 22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said,” You are My beloved; in You I am well pleased.”

Lukas 4:1 was written:” then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness”.And with the power of Holy Spirit Jesus Christ could defeat temptations.

Luke 4:14 was said that Jesus Christ started to teach and serve with the Holy Spirit. Hence the power and awesome miracles that were done by Jesus Christ was with the Power of the Holy Spirit.
14 Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region

Jesus himself is God, But when He became human He never used His own power, but with the power of Holy Spirit.
2. The disciples of Jesus Christ also required Holy Spirit

Luke 24:49 Lord Jesus asked the disciples to wait until they were filled with the Holy Spirit then they were ready to spread the gospel. Because without being filled with the Holy Spirit the disciples of Jesus had already been failed so many times.
49 Behold, I send the Promise of My father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with the power from on high.”

After they had been filled with Holy Spirit, thus the disciples:
Becoming successful people in their lives and ministries (Act 2:1-4) 1When the Day of the Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 Suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.4 And they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Becoming Bold (Act 2:14).
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words.
Their words were full of power so that 3000 people believed and being baptized. (Act 3:6-8) 6. Then peter said,” Silver and Gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you; In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”7And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 So he leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them--walking, leaping, and praising God.
Powerful ministry.
3. The disciples understood that every believer needs to have Holy Spirit.

Act 19:1-6 when Paul reached Ephesus, The first thing that Paul asked the Ephesians was that:”Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” Because Paul knew that without the Holy Spirit believers cannot be successful.
And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, come to Ephesus. And finding some disciples 2 he said to them, :”Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”“So they said to him, ”We have not so much heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.” 3 And he said to them,” Into what then were you baptized?” So they said,” Into John’s baptism.” 4 Then Paul said,” John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.” 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid hands in them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.

Paul himself before then was a teacher of the law but without the Holy Spirit He failed.
4. We also very much need to have Holy Spirit

Without the Holy Spirit we will be failed in our trial times, faith growth, and in our ministries, etc.

On the other hand with the Holy Spirit we will be successful in :
Becoming God’s witnesses (Act 1:8) Act 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and I all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
In the power of prayer.(Rome 8:26-27; Judas 1:20)Rome 8:26-27 26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.Jude 1:20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
In the power of worshiping God (John 4:24) 24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Receiving spiritual gifts (I Corinthians 12:8-11)8 For one is given of wisdom through The Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same spirit, 9 To another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit, works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
Owning the fruits of spirit (Galatian 5:22-23)22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law
So that we are not only being named as the children of God, but we can really live as the children of God!!!
After we learn several things above about the Holy Spirit, who can dare to say that I don’t need Holy Spirit? Therefore let us use the opportunity of these ten-day crusades in our church to really receive the fulfillment of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Amen.
